What we collect
Lookups run against datasets hosted on our own servers; the codes you search are not linked to you as a person. Standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) are kept briefly for security and abuse prevention, including enforcing API rate limits, on the legal basis of legitimate interest.
Analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic (pages visited, country, device type). It loads only after you choose "Allow analytics" in the cookie banner, and only then sets its cookies (names starting with _ga, kept for up to two years). If you choose "No thanks", or make no choice, no analytics code runs and the site works exactly the same. You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). Analytics data is processed by Google Ireland Limited under its data processing terms and may be transferred to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Your cookie choice itself is stored in your browser (localStorage) and never transmitted.
Cookies
Without your permission the site sets no cookies. It stores only your theme preference (light or dark) and your cookie choice in your browser's local storage, and neither leaves your device.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold. In practice we hold almost none. Contact [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. You may also lodge a complaint with the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection.
